Grounds of a private house in Northamptonshire
A festival style wedding reception is a fun way to celebrate your big day with your guests.
The bride and groom Wendy and Alex, certainly had a great sense of humour and worked with us to create a festival feel for their wedding day.
We supplied a traditional pole marquee which was dressed with hand stencilled butterfly swags and festoon lighting throughout – keeping the main reception space simple but within the brief of “festival feel”.
Outside there were fire pits surrounded by cosy seating areas and projections lit up the trees.
Simon suggested a unique idea to Alex the groom who was only too happy to help bring this idea to life – as the garden featured a lake with an Island on it, Simon suggested building a bridge onto the island and to install a yurt that could be a secondary bar with top mixologists creating cocktails for the guests. It was a great surprise for the guests on the night – there was a waiting list to get in!!
Within the marquee there was a central bar which had just as many guests in attendance due to the fantastic percussionist and violinist Lettice Rowbotham who played along to the DJ’s set.
